Jaws arrived right about the time the Bond series was starting to lose its way completely. Actually, the downhill plunge started with Roger Moore.

I am officially creeped out. I was watching Moonraker about two hours ago and was wondering what he was up to these days.

Always liked that dude. In modern parody movies, no one from the movie that got parodied acts in the parody. A james bond movie got parodied and Richard Kiel (jaws) and Peter Graves joined in for an awesome Cantonese language James Bond spoof. Rest in peace Mr. Kiel, man with strong Jaws.

The late 70s and 80s were a tough time for Bond movies. Though I strangely enjoy A View to a Kill.

Imagine if the Pierce Brosnan movies just... didn't exist. That they just either stopped making them, or that they only made a few shitty movies after License to Kill. That Albert Broccoli died and nothing happened.
I wonder if James Bond would have totally dropped out of the public's mind. If it would have been "that one spy film series from the 70s and 60s where Sean Connery got his start." That film your parents remember really well, but you think is just stupid and dated. Like how I imagine 12-year olds look at "Titanic" now.
I wonder how that would be different if after 20 years of nothing, bam, we got Casino Royale. I imagine the uproar and insanity would have been a lot bigger, and we would have forgiven a lot more of the "changes" from the series's original tropes (BLONDE BOND?!).
But honestly, if it had stopped with License to Kill, Casino Royale would have never been made.
